JOSH ULL

Director of Student Life, The Leffell School

If Josh knew we were nominating him for the Wall of Amazing Humans, he would be mortified. He seeks no recognition as he enhances the lives of those around him. When Josh started working at The Leffell School, he taught our community about lollipop moments. Since that first day, Josh has encouraged hundreds of lollipop moments. He inspires others to be inspired. Josh’s office is a safe space. He empowers students to be their best, most authentic selves and to find leadership potential. As colleagues/friends, we look forward to daily texts from Josh with an inspiring story to bring to our students. Just weeks after Josh found an organization that provided blankets to the homeless, our students were making blankets with the founders. When Josh learned about “President Austin,” a child featured in Steve Hartman’s On The Road segment for his ability to “show love” to everyone he encounters, he invited Austin to speak to a group of teens. Josh facilitates leadership retreats, and every detail is intentional (even the napkins at dinner have conversation starters). While physically apart, Josh organizes daily community-building activities and has brought our students closer together. This is our lollipop moment to him.

Josh, you are the ULLtimate. We are so grateful for everything you do to enhance our community and to make us better.
